Kramer, Jack 1921 - . US tennis player. Although Jack Kramer was one of the outstanding players of his era, Wimbledon champion in 1947 and winner of 13 US titles, his name will be remembered for his activities as a promoter and as executive director of the Association of Tennis Professionals. In 1973 he lead a boycott of the Wimbledon championships by 90 professional players, this lead to a bitter power struggle with the international Tennis Federation. Many of today's tennis stars now credit him with keeping the professional game alive today. Kramer has for more than 20 years served as a television analyst and commentator for many tennis tournaments thoughout the world.
